Mullvad review 2026
Mullvad is the anti-teaser. €5. That is the review.
From €5/mo · Flat. No 24-month teaser. No conventional affiliate program.
Best for: People who hate VPN pricing
- From
- €5/mo flat
- Account
- Random number, not an email
- Logs
- No-logs, raided and empty
- Catch

Buy if You want a utility price and a company that has been searched by police and had nothing to hand over.
Skip if You need one-click streaming profiles and a big-brand help desk.
Mullvad charges €5/mo whether you stay a month or a decade. You get an account number. That is the product. It sits at #2 because most people still want a friendlier app and a brand their cousin has heard of — Proton or Nord.
We list it even though there is no normal affiliate payout. If that sentence bothers you, read the disclosure and still consider paying them. Price honesty is the badge.
Pros
- The price on the homepage is the price
- Strong operational privacy
- No account-email requirement
Cons
- Apps are plainer
- Not the streaming specialist
Mullvad FAQ
Why isn’t Mullvad #1?
The app and streaming extras are thinner. For a first VPN, Proton is less friction. For a second VPN, Mullvad is the grown-up bill.
Do you earn commission on Mullvad?
Not in the usual sense. It is on the list because the pricing is honest.
