Teachable review 2026
Teachable is #1 because a first course needs a school, not a stack. Read the transaction fee before you call it $39.
From $39/mo · Basic ~$39/mo annual plus transaction fees. Pro drops some fees. Confirm current rungs.
Best for: First course, creators, coaches

Buy if You have lessons and you want a school this month.
Skip if You sell a lot of non-course files. Podia. You wanted a marketing OS. Kajabi.
Teachable wins the same way Hostinger wins: you can ship. Pro exists because Basic takes a cut. That is the ranking honesty.
If you already have an audience on Beehiiv or Kit, you still need a place to gate videos. This is that place for most people.
Pros
- Fast first course
- Familiar student experience
- Payments included
Cons
- Fees on cheaper plans
- Sites can look like every other Teachable school
Teachable FAQ
Teachable vs Thinkific?
Teachable is the default. Thinkific if you care more about customizing the school and you will do the work.
Are transaction fees a dealbreaker?
On Basic, they add up. Price Pro vs the cut. Same math as Shopify vs taking cards elsewhere.
