Best AI chatbot 2026 Copilot Pro review
Copilot Pro review 2026
Copilot Pro is an Office feature. Ranked fifth because most people asking “best AI” meant a chat.
From $20/mo · Copilot Pro ~$20/mo on top of 365 for consumers. Work Copilot is a different, pricier SKU.
Best for: Microsoft 365 daily users
- From
- $20/mo Pro
- Lives in
- Word, Excel, Outlook, Edge
- Catch
- Requires the Microsoft habit
Buy if Your job is Outlook and Excel, not a chat window.
Skip if You write in Google Docs or VS Code. This is the wrong copilot.
If you never open Word, this page is not for you. If Excel is the job, a ChatGPT tab is a worse copilot.
Do not confuse consumer Copilot Pro with the enterprise add-on your IT department quotes at $30/user.
Pros
- In the Office apps
- Excel help is the actual pitch
- Designer/image extras
Cons
- Another Microsoft SKU to understand
- Chat-only users should buy ChatGPT

Copilot vs ChatGPT?
Copilot if the file is already in 365. ChatGPT if the job is a blank page.
Do I need Microsoft 365 too?
For the in-app magic, yes. The chat site alone is not the reason to pick this row.
